Best time to eat?

After researching here, I have decided to make reservations for Cafe Mickey, the dinner with the princesses, and maybe Blue Lagoon. Yes, I am one that hates to throw away a ton of money on greasy burgers, so we are going to try to fill up as much as we can on breakfast, sneak in our own snacks to keep us going until an early dinner. I was thinking maybe around 3 in the afternoon, but don%26#39;t want to miss anything special during that time. What time does the night parade start?

Also, am I correct that the half board meal plan option cannot be used at these restaurants? What is the average cost for the above 3 for a family of 4 (2 adults/ 2 girls ages 4 and 6). Much thanks!

If you are only having breakfast and then nothing for your lunch then by then you might well be hungry but may that be too early for you if you are having snacks as well? Cafe Mickey will mean you leaving the park to go into the Disney village and then back into the park - have you factored that into your plans? If you are staying on site you might want to consider pushing the Cafe Mickey on till tea time so you can do it as you leave the park.

In terms of parades do you mean the Candelabration - if so that is before the park closes in the winter months at 7pm. Or do you mean the Christmas parade which will be on when you are there? If so I think that should be scheduled for around 4pm in which case you would miss this unless you bolted your food down but as two of those meals are character ones you don%26#39;t want to rush them really.

This site is your best guide to food prices as you can price up based on exactly the type of things you know your family will eat http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/index.php

Half board standard entitles you to eat at the restaurants below:

La Cantina (Disney%26#39;s Hotel Santa Fe®)

Chuck Wagon Cafe (Disney%26#39;s Hotel Cheyenne®)

Crockett%26#39;s Tavern (Disney%26#39;s Davy Crockett Ranch®)

Agrabah Café (Disneyland® Park)

Plaza Gardens Restaurant (Disneyland® Park)

Rendez-Vous des Stars (Walt Disney Studios® Park)

Annette%26#39;s Diner (Disney® Village)

PS - I haven%26#39;t forgotton about the document I said I would send - will sort it at the weekend :-)

Just a quick snippit of info - you don%26#39;t say when you are going but we are going in December and I think over the Xmas period the Disney Princess dinner is only on over lunch the last sitting is 3:30 ish. We have booked this time so we don%26#39;t have to have dinner later on in the evening as like you we have always filled up on breakfast and taken snacks to eat during the day and then had a large meal at night.
