travel to lourdes and llisieux,

Hello,

I am planning to visit Lourdes and visit Lisieux to see st. threase shrine and also visit saint Catherine Laboure(the church of our lady of miraculours medal). Would you please suggest me what trains should I have starting from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Are the train tickets available at the train station, I mean can I purchase the ticket after I arrive to Paris. Are the tickets would be more expensive than if they purchased in monthes ahead of my travel.

It%26#39;s usually cheaper to purchase tickets on line in advance. While I don%26#39;t know much about the particular trains you want, I have seen from your other post that you will be in France for a total of five days. Do you realise just how far from Paris Lourdes is? They are at opposite ends of the country. You would spend much of your time travelling and the rest of it worrying about catching your trains. You%26#39;d certainly have little time left in Paris. Lisieux might be doable, but you might be better leaving Lourdes for another time when you will be in France for longer.

Many, many people have posted questions about travel to Lourdes in these forums. If you use the %26#39;search%26#39; facility above you will be rewarded with a great deal of information about the various options.

Lourdes is 6 - 8 hours train journey from Paris so a round trip in one day is not feasible. There are overnight runs in both directions however.

Almost all long-distance trains in France are %26#39;all reserved%26#39; and are quite often fully booked.

I agree that if you have only five days in France, spending two of them travelling does not seem a good idea.
