Hotel - near Cartier - Rue Fauborg St. Honore

We are going to Paris in June. Last time I was there (it%26#39;s been more than 10 years I am sorry to say) I stayed at a hotel on Rue Fauborg St. Honore - I think - and the hotel was near Dior or Cartier. It was a lovely place. The problis is I do not remember the name of the hotel. Is anyone familiar with this area enough to hazard a guess? It was an older hotel but very nice. Appreciate your help - Merci - Ellen

The rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré is quite long, and there are several hotels in this street. But because you mention Cartier and Dior, you should probably look first in the vicinity of the rue Royale. Both Dior (rue Royale) and Cartier (cité du Retiro) are very close to that part of the rue Faubourg Saint Honoré (but there are several Cartier and Dior shops in other locations in Paris).

Does the name %26quot;Hôtel de Castiglione%26quot; ring a bell? It%26#39;s at 40, rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré (since 1932). Most other hotels in the street are much further away from the rue Royale.

You can use www.pagesjaunes.fr to search for other hotels in that street or area - it%26#39;s in French, but maybe you can manage?

Note that this site can show you photo%26#39;s of every building in the street. Good luck!
