Poll, favourite burgundy village

What is your favourite Burgundy village and why?

That must be Mont Saint Jean in Cote d%26#39;Or near Saulieu. I love this mediavel Village for it%26#39;s unspoiled feeling the amazing views, the mixture of different nationalities living here and blending in with the very friendly french population, the very good Restaurant %26quot;Le Mediavel%26quot;, the beautiful architecture and the rich history of this once in the past more importend village. The nature and its produce like the Foie Grass from %26quot;pascal Lapere%26quot;, the honey and jams. The quirky Bar %26quot;Le La itou%26quot; with it%26#39;s live concerts, shows %26amp; changing art exhebitions. The Village great location to Beaune, Dijon, Chablis, Montbard, and closnes to the A6.

that some of the reasons why I choose to live here

Thanks Marco

I%26#39;m visiting Burgundy for the first time and there are so many villages, I would like an idea of which way to go and which ones to choose to visit. I%26#39;m coming from the Loire Valley and heading down to Provence. Cheers.

Burgundy is a large Departmennt with countless possibilities, but I liked Beze (30km northeast of Dijon) because ....

It has just what a typical pretty french village should have, trees, water, varied old buildings, bridge etc. but they just harmonised so well. No wonder it is listed as one of the pertiest in france.

It also has what other typical french villages don%26#39;t have, the source of its river just welling up out of the ground, with a riverside promenade, plus caves to visit with an underground boat ride.

I reviewed Le Bourguignon hotel, Beze, which has a few pics of the villageon this link
