Saint-Germain-des-Prés Accomodation

I have stayed at

Citadines Paris Saint-Germain-des-Prés

53 ter, quai des Grands Augustins

The accomodation here is fantastic and the location is just perfect.

I have some friends travelling to Paris in January, and I have recommended Citadines to them, but they don%26#39;t wan%26#39;t to spend so much.

Does anyone have any recommendations of hotels in the same great location, but are a little cheaper than Citadines.

Thanks

I have stayed at the Hotel Le Regent on rue Dauphine( which is on KDK%26#39;s list) . Wonderful location, hotel was nice, had a nice bathroom and was alot less then 315 a night!!! I stayed in a deluxe room , which I strongly recommend as the standard rooms are TINY ( and I have stayed in about 7 or 8 different hotels in Paris, all moderately priced, and when I say tiny, I know tiny!!) The deluxe room is what most of us would consider standard size, had all the bells and whistles( a/c, fridge, safe, small elevator) . Staff were nice.

Location , I give it a 9 out of 10,, cafes all around a few markets, a bank machine and only two blocks from Seine. Two metro stations within a few minutes walk . I think I paid about 180-190 euros, but it was a summer special rate.

Have a look at Crystal Hotel (Rue Saint Benoit)

They have Superior rooms at €160 booking through Venere.com

The hotel is down a quiet side street about 100 metres from a Metro station and within easy walking distance of the Seine and Notre Dame and there are dozens of eating places surrounding the hotel.
