Rail Travel from Paris to Munich

Hi ... I want to take a train from Paris to Munich on November 9 (Sunday). There is a train that leaves at 3:30 and the best available rate I found on internet is 140 EUROS.

Should I purchase the ticket online or buy it when I get in Paris or buy just before train departure? I am looking to save some money.

Please provide your expert advise and help this Canadian Fella!

Merci

You may want to buy it online. DB will want to reserve your seat from Stuttgart to Munich. With lots of people traveling on Sundays, you might want to lock in your seat reservation especially on that intra-germany ride.

Train fares are like air fares, usually the very lowest fares will be available for advance-advance. These restricted, heavily discounted fares will provide limitied or no refund and restricted or no changes terms %26amp; conditions. If you have a fixed travel itinerary, then you will get the best, lowest fares by pre-purchasing your ticket(s) on-line. But this close to your intended travel date--only a couple/few days--heavily discounted fares are going to be hard or impossible to find.

And unless I%26#39;m missing something on the SNCF booking site for this train, it appears that 2nd Class is sold-out for the 15:24 PARIS-Est/MUENCHEN HBF train.
