Which is better paris or brussels, which would you say is cleaner safer and more friendly and less complicated? or are they just the same?

Paris, in all the above categories. Without a doubt.

No contest - PARIS

Paris!!!!! :-)

Let%26#39;s put the attractions of Brussels on the scale, relative to Paris. On the one side, Brussels has the EU and NATO HQs, pretty good beer and %26#39;Belgian%26#39; waffles. On the other side, Paris has got The Louvre, d%26#39;Orsay, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Seine, grand magazins, great restaurants, the Left Bank, the Right Bank...and a few other things. But one of Brussels least appreciated aspects is that it has quick (85 mins), convenient, relatively inexpensive, high-speed THALYS train connections to PARIS. So I suppose it would be possible to sleep in a Brussels hotel in the evenings....but spend the rest of your time in Paris.

Brussels has the wonderful Grand Place and the old section surrounding it, a decent museum and some very good restaurants. Paris wins, though. I agree it%26#39;s no contest.

Of course posting this question on the Paris forum might also slant it in its favour ;-) (I%26#39;ve never been to Brussels so my answer is undoubtedly PARIS). Did you post this question on the Brussels forum too?
|||
They each have their qualities !!! Flip a coin !!
|||
Brussels has better beer.

If you must choose one or the other, I would certainly say Paris. However, Brussels is nice, has its attractions, and is close to Bruges, which is a very lovely town to visit. Any reason you have to choose between the two?

Brussels is much smaller and there are a lot of English speakers if language is an issue. The Belgians are extremely hospitable.
Paris and Brussels can%26#39;t really be compared as far as a tourist%26#39;s visit goes. You could spend months in Paris and still not see it all...
