November Beziers.. Where to go?

Have cheap flights with Ryanair booked for a weekend stay in south france.

Where should i aim to travel to once i arrive at Beziers? I would like to be on the coast if the weather is fine, and somewhere with some things to do / see.

Could anyone advise, and also advice on means of transport from the airport much appreciated.

Age 24 by the way. Thanks

If I were 24 and looking for a bit of adventure, November in Béziers would not qualify.

Just because it%26#39;s inexpensive to fly somewhere does not necessarily mean it%26#39;s worth going.

I would recommend a trip to Sète. Sète is a nice little town by the sea, the little Venice in Languedoc actually with its canals, and offers a great atmosphere, nice bars, good food and a modern art museum...

And for night clubs get to Cap d%26#39;Agde, that is a seaside resort, but not sure it will be lively off season...

I have to agree with the first post.

Go back and check with the ryanair web site destination guide what they suggest for Beziers.

Also check exactly where the airport is and if there is a shuttle bus into the town (eg Stanstead airport is described by Ryanair as London airport!)

Your best method of transport is to hire a car.

There will be little to do off season on the coast and you would be better to visit a large town where (on Saturday) everything will be open.

A few points :

Beziers airport is close to the city and a shuttle bus meets all Ryanair flights.

Beziers is not on the coast.

Beziers is a residential %26amp; working town, so it doesn%26#39;t close down in winter.

It has clubs and bars including at least one Irish pub.

Having said that, Montpellier is far more active in the winter. I%26#39;d hop on a train and base yourself in Montpellier.

not looking for a wild drinking holiday or a big adventure to be honest. just a break away.

does the shuttle bus go to the train station?

i have touched on sete briefly from internet searches. what would the weather be like?

Following this discussion - the-languedoc-page.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php… - it seems that the shuttle goes to the bus station, and there is another shuttle connecting to the rail station.

Sete was once an island, but is now joined to the mainland by sand spits. The lagoon (Etang de Thau) is ringed with small fishing / holiday villages and specialises in shellfish production.

Sete is a working town - so open year round. It is one of the biggest fishing ports on the Med, and is also a commercial port with car ferries going to Tangier year round and others in the summer. For locals it is known for the choice of sea food restaurants which are very busy on weekend lunchtimes.

I%26#39;m not sure that you will find much in the way of nightlife.
