Chez l'Ami Jean : prix fixe lunch menu?

Hi

Anybody know if Chez l%26#39;Ami Jean still offers a prix fixe lunch menu and if so, what it comprises and the cost?

Cheers...

As far as I am aware, there isn%26#39;t a restaurant in France that doesnt offer at least two Menus. If there is, they are well hidden!

According to the New York Times review (october 2008) 3-course Basque dinner 29€ ($38); fixed-price lunch 15€ ($20)

Hey Wiz: the NY Times review (on-line at least) just mirrors Frommers and I%26#39;m not sure how recent that it is....

According to their own website (found on google, although quite why it was on page 3) They still do menus. No price though

Be warned - it is a typically rubbish Frensh flash based website

If ever oh ever a Wiz there was...

I%26#39;ve tried every goole search term I could think of and couldn%26#39;t find the site. OK: so I still don%26#39;t have prices but - with an e-mail address - it might be easier to make a reservation!

Thanks!

Yes they have a fixed price menu at 29€ and the clients reviews here mention there is also a menu %26quot;carte blanche%26quot; at 60€, that is a 10 courses menu including cheese and dessert ( the poster says it was far too much and couldn%26#39;t eat all); sorry it is all in french but I gave you the general feedback:

I was just there in September for lunch and got quite the look of %26quot;are you kidding me?%26quot; when I asked about the 15E lunch menu I%26#39;d heard about.

The only available prix fixe lunch was a three course menu for 34E, so quite a bit more than we were expecting which contributed to being a little disappointed overall with our experience there (esp since I%26#39;d been looking forward to it so much from the reviews and of course had built it up to my friends). I don%26#39;t know if the prix fixe price varies day to day or not. The food was actually delicious but the very cramped quarters and very rushed, harried servers made it a less than stellar experience--but again, I think our expectations were for something different. If it had been that kind of food for 15E or close, I think we would have overlooked the ambiance and service issues.
