am in Nice for a week over the New Year period --Does anyone know any bars that would be showing English championship Football on monday 28th December

Wayne%26#39;s Bar on rue de la Prefecture in the old town, and Ma Nolans, near the Opera House, also in the old town. Can%26#39;t guarantee it%26#39;ll be on, they usually show the biggest, or most popular sport of the day. For instance, we went down to Wayne%26#39;s to watch Wales in the 6 nations one time. We%26#39;d asked beforehand if it%26#39;d be on and they assured us it would be. However, when we arrived the place was full of Swedes or Fins (can%26#39;t remember which) as there was some very important winter olympics game thing on. We had to wait until that had finished before they put the rugby on and we missed the Welsh national anthem and the first few minutes. Probably lost the game as well. :-(

Forgot to say, you could also try the Priory Pub in Beausoleil above Monaco. The landlord is a Brit, big rugby and football fan. As long as Hereford (I think that%26#39;s his team) isn%26#39;t being shown, he%26#39;ll probably be open to suggestions for what to put on.

I would guess ma Nolan%26#39;s in old nice or the other ma Nolan%26#39;s branch at the Port would be a good bet -however the December tv sports programme isn%26#39;t on their website yet

There are a few restaurant bars on the Promenade d%26#39;Anglais that have large screen tv, I saw 2 Euro 2004 games there.

I think there is a big difference in general appeal between Euro2004 games and Blackpool v wolves.

Blackpool v wolves isn%26#39;t going to interest the non english punters
