We visited Paris in for the first time in July this year had an excellent holiday and were very impressed by the city.
However, I found it uncomfortably hot.
We are considering a revisit in April or May of 2009.
I know that the weather is totally unpredictable but I would appreciate any comments from contributers to the forum on the weather conditions they have encountered during these months.

I%26#39;ve spent the week around Easter in Paris in %26#39;08 and %26#39;09 and the weather was completely different. This year is was cooler with some rain and even rain mixed in with hail. And we were told that the week before there had been snow. This somewhat affected our sitting at sidewalk cafes because a few times they had closed off the outside areas or the parts underneath awnings were crowded. But we would not have traded that week if the alternative was not going.
The year before it was warm and I was glad I had brought a couple of pairs of shorts. I wore these every day while we were exploring and only switched off at night. It seemed that everyone in Paris was taking advantage of the weather and the long Easter weekend to sit outside, at cafes or in parks or along the Seaine. I think this was our favorite of 6 trips. The Pont des Arts on a warm night with a chilled bottle of wine cannot be beat.

We were in Paris in mid May 2007. It was very changeable, cool, rainy, sunny, which might all have been unusual for that time. We did take a two day trip to Bordeaux and it was warm!! in the high 80%26#39;s. In 2001, we were there in mid April and when we left Charles De Gaulle to go into Paris proper, it was spitting snow, so I would look at April%26#39;s weather this year and 2007 to make an educated guess. Just prepare for some warm and some cool and buy an umbrella when you get there !!!

Hi, How bus is it over the Easter break.
We are going to Italy and decided to arrive after Easter because of the crowds in Rome at Easter.
Will we have difficulty with accom on the Easter weekend or should we visit before Easter hen somewhere else less touristy before going to Italy?
I%26#39;m only just starting my research. Sorry if I sound vague.

The long Easter weekend, Friday to Monday was crowded at several of the more popular places in the city, especially the plaza in front of Notre Dame. And you could tell there were more people at the sidewalk cafes. And without thinking we took the metro then walked up to Montmartre and it was very crowded, but being with the crowds seemed to make it more fun to me. We were still able to wander around and to have a drink and lunch at one of the cafes around the artist%26#39;s square. I wouldn%26#39;t not go to Paris during Easter.

I was in Paris in May 2007 and I had good time. Sometimes cool but sunny. Beautiful days.
