Has anyone used CentreParis?

I am looking at renting an apartment from this company. They are cheaper than some of the other places I have looked at (even Vacation In Paris), and the apartment looks good online, but I%26#39;d really appreciate any reviews of this company from those who have actually used them. Thanks in advance!

Hi foxfirejg,

Do a search on this forum for CentrParis, and you%26#39;ll probably find people who have used them. I looked at the website, and the reason that the apartments are cheaper is that they are all in Montmartre, which is a less expensive neighnorhood than the more central arrondissements. Some areas of Montmartre are nice and residential, and others are dodgy. It%26#39;s best to do a search and get advice before committing to an apartment.

Kathy- they actually have several apartments in the 2eme area near Rue Montorgueil. The search function just doesn%26#39;t work very well. But thanks for the tip- I will search the forum and hopefully that will turn something else up!

They have apts. all around Paris. I%26#39;ve booked one for February in the 20th arrond. David was great to work with so far.

There are others on this site who have used them with success too, do the search.

Foxfirejg, toutou: how did you find www.centreparis.com?

I am trying to find a reasonably priced apartment for my very budget-conscious parents for 4 nights....

|||

I found them through a google search for %26#39;apartments in paris%26#39;. I didn%26#39;t end up using them- they weren%26#39;t responsive to me for over a month, and overall I wasn%26#39;t pleased with the service. I ended up renting from a woman on homeaway.com. I would look around there- there are lots of options all around the city. Good luck finding a spot!

Thanks for the response, foxfirejg.

Actually - by %26quot;how did you find....%26quot; I meant their service, but you answered my question anyway! (I should have been more precise - sorry).

They can be slow to respond. I have not experienced that type of problem, but others have noted it here.

I have now used them several times and am returning to rent their Ledru Rollin 3 bedroom apt. in Nov. (120 euros per night TTC, no deposits).

They%26#39;ve been great for me, but I agree, if you do not get good response, you are not going to want to book with them. You can always call them if you want to book or discuss their apartments or rental conditions.

I don%26#39;t use anyone else now - UNLESS - I have a large budget to work with.

P.S. They are in the process of moving their offices from the 2nd to the 10th, so that could be part of the reason for delays in response.

|||

toutou- thanks for the update. Their prices were very good, so I%26#39;ll keep them in mind the next time I head to Paris (hopefully soon!). Maybe I%26#39;ll get a better response next time and can have a bit cheaper of a holiday!

|||

And thanks, toutou, for posting the direct e-mail address. I couldn%26#39;t find it on the site, so I was staring to wonder how I was going to follow up my web form inquiries!

Yes, their website is not the best. They don%26#39;t list their phone number or fax number either. I can only assume this is due to the fact that some of the staff are not prepared to take International calls (don%26#39;t speak a language other than French). This is an assumption, I%26#39;ve never asked them why they don%26#39;t have it on the website.

They are a relatively new agency and I think they are still learning the ropes, so to speak.

Their prices are excellent. Their rental procedure is great in that it is very simplistic. First time rentors seem to find them a bit hard to work with for some of the very reasons I like (mainly simplicity).

Once you do rent with them, you send off a check for 50% of the rental price without having received anything but an email confirmation. Many people don%26#39;t like this, and I don%26#39;t blame them. I was slightly concerned when I first booked with them. However, I live in France and I felt I had asked all the right questions to put my mind at ease.

I did expect to find a flea bag apt. for my 56 euros per night (the first one I rented was Bagnolet apt. in the 20th). I was pleased to find a nice big apt. that wasn%26#39;t filled with mice, roaches or filth.

Like many people, I was used to paying a minimum of around 175 euros per night for a vacation rental in Paris - having seen so many others that were much higher than that. I was so pleased to find this agency. So, many T/A members may get sick of seeing my recommendations time and time again.

The agency isn%26#39;t for everyone, but it works for me.
