Hi Scott, I was checking the web for glutenfree restaurants in Paris and-or l markets with GF products. My family and I will go for a few days to Paris in August.

I appreciate your tips or links.

Thanks in advance.

I don%26#39;t know of any shops that stock GF food. When I travel I carry rice cakes and GF cereal. A friend of mine carries several loaves of GF bread when she travels. It%26#39;s an easy solution. I buy yogurt and cheese for my breakfast, my husband eats the extra bread.

In restaurants I ask which sauces are thickened with a roux (always made with wheat flour) and which are reductions. In France this isn%26#39;t a problem because the servers are professionals and they know all the details of every item they serve. They are happy to help you have an enjoyable meal.

It%26#39;s especially easy for a celiac to eat in France. Almost every brasserie or restaurant will serve you fish or chicken simply grilled with olive oil and perhaps some herbs, and the everpresent steak with frites is a great fallback. For lunch there are omelets and salads. It%26#39;s such a pleasure to dine there when there are so many dishes that are simple and straight forward.

The down side is having to ignore the croissants the pain au chocolat and the heavenly baguettes. But then as they say - life is a beach and then you die - and at least you%26#39;re ignoring them in Paris.

I am afraid there are no GF restaurants in France. But you will easily find meals in all kind of restaurants that suits your diet (with fish/meat and veggies) and also buy food from biological stores that are developing everywhere (you will also find corners in every supermarket).

I found that forum for you, where you may pick up some advices :

I just got back from Paris, and I need to eat gluten free and had a great trip. It wasn%26#39;t anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be, it was great!!

Organic food stores, such as Naturalia or La Vie Claire, offer gluten-free products :

You might try the pharmacies. In other European countries many pharmacies stock GF foods.
