Hello
We%26#39;re hoping to go camping in Corsica in July/August 2009. The over-30%26#39;s like to hike in mountains, the under-12%26#39;s want beaches! Can anyone recommend a campsite in the North West area that would let us do both? Thanks!

We wre in this area for lunch, a beautiful beach area with mountains all around in the north west part of Corsica, Cap Corse. I think I saw camping there.
I have attached a link to a hotel in that area, there may be additional info.

I know we keep going on about the Balagne area in this forum, but I really think that the Calvi ansd Ile Rousse area might fit the bill for you.
Why not try Camping %26quot;La Pinede%26quot; in Calvi (http://www.camping-calvi.com/)? It has its own stretch of beach (with others a short train ride away), is near enough to the town centre for restaurants and shops, yet a half hour drive will get you to the Cirque de Bonifatu and the Fangu valley. An hour and a half drive will get you to Corte - Pascal Paoli%26#39;s mountain capital.
The northern Cap, as suggested above, would be great for the adults, but might be a little remote for the children.

Thanks guys - that%26#39;s really helpful.
