Am trying to organise a holiday next year for three families. Need stuff to do for adults, teenagers and young children too. Preferably by the south coast. Any ideas? I%26#39;ve never done france before!! Many thanks

Why not try a week all together on the Canal du Midi. This is a great group activity:

Another great activity that few think about is donkey trekking. Your group will never forget doing something like this:

Consider staying somewhere in Provence and spending time in the Carmargue which has horse riding around the lakes, lovely beaches, bird lagoons including flamingoes, trips into historic areas, Roman ruins and pretty towns, gorgeous local markets, Provencale bull fights (the bull does not get killed), castles, walled town of Aigues Mortes, salt pans, a day at Pont du Gard including swimming and canoeing under the aqueduct, petanque games etc. Maybe Aix en Provence, Arles, Sts Maries de la Mer, Nimes. Perfect for families and lots of good restaurants and cheap eats as well.

If you all get on really well, then a big villa with a pool anywhere round the south coast and plenty of cars to enable everyone to get away if they want! There are a lot of companies which either act as agents, or advertise for direct bookings with owners.
Otherwise, for separate accommodation on the same site, there are companies like pv-holidays.com/th/…holiday-villages-france
Camping holidays have also moved up-market over the years and you could look at any of the companies which do tents / mobile homes / holiday lodges on %26#39;campsites%26#39; with masses of facilities which will suit kids of all ages, and there will probably be other English-speaking families around if they want to join in activities. The big names are Keycamp, Eurocamp, Canvas holidays, but there are a lot of others. It%26#39;s worth having a look at their websites even if you don%26#39;t fancy their accommodation, as they give a good summary of family-friendly activities and attractions in each area that they use.
For destination, if you%26#39;re wanting more than just sun and swimming, then I%26#39;d also suggest inland Provence, as there are plenty of nice days out. If you%26#39;re looking at the main school summer holidays, any coastal destination in France will be busy ....

In order to make really valid suggestions regarding places to go and things to do with a group as diverse as yours, it would be really helpful if you could state exactly when you will be in France and the duration of your stay.

PS - While I love lynnb48%26#39;s suggestion of the Camargue, I hope that you will consider exploring some of the inland sites in Western Provence as well
