I%26#39;ve been reading this forum but haven%26#39;t quite found an answer relating to my final destination in Marais. First time in Paris and feeling a bit apprehensive with kids in tow so hope one of you %26quot;seasoned%26quot; travellers can help.
My family of 4 (me, husband, 6 year old %26amp; 15 month old) will be arriving in CDG terminal 1 on a Thursday in May at 10:00 am. With kids %26amp; luggage, what would you recommend as the easiest, and of course most economical way to get to our apartment in Marais rue Bourg-Tibourg? Would it be silly to take an airport shuttle to the nearest drop off then transfer to a taxi to the apt if need be? Thanks in advance.

A pre-arranged, shared, airport shuttle van service would might be slightly less than than the fare for an ordinary TAXI PARISIAN, from the regular taxi ranks located just outside of all CDG arrival terminal buildings. But given your particular situation and circumstance....the TAXI PARISIAN will probably be the simplest, easiest, most straightforward solution upon arrival. For your return, you can make up some of the difference by pre-arranging for a shared-airport shuttle service pick-up back to CDG (telephone the day before...and be sure to provide the EXACT information of pick-up address and flight departure time)...or just telephone and pre-arrange for another Taxi Parisian pick-up from one of the larger, radio-dispatched taxi companies in Paris.
The advantage of a regular Taxi Parisian in your particular situation and circumstance (a family traveling with very young children) is that the taxi is almost %26#39;..idiot-proof..%26#39;. There are no shuttle service dispatchers to telephone once you arrive to tell them that you have indeed arrived and where. You simply collect your baggage, exit through the French Customs control point and make your way to the regular TAXI rank nearby. The only thing that you should--really need to--do is to make certain that you have the EXACT street address of your Paris apartment written down a a slip of paper to show to the driver so that there will be no misinterpretation or miscommunication as to your destination. Several different streets in Paris may have similar names. Better yet, use one of the several Paris street mapping web sites to Print-Out a detailed local street map for the EXACT destination address of your apartment, to give to the driver. If there%26#39;s any %26#39;trick%26#39; to this, it%26#39;s to then REMEMBER to carry that address/street map Print-Out with you when you leave home.

Thanks for the advice, KDK and Vintage. As in my namesake, I can%26#39;t seem to find the apartment on the PAGES JAUNES Mapping site . . . even after translating the page. Oy! The apartment is 25, rue du Bourg-Tibourg 75004. I booked it with parisbestlodge.com and the owner calls it Apt Bourg-Tibourg. Am I out to lunch??

Easilylost: The address is 25 rue du Bourg-Tibourg 75004. That should be enough for the taxi driver.
When you come out of the airport terminal, you may be approached to take a hire car into Paris. These are very expensive. Ignore them and go to the taxi rank, which will have cars with a sign on top reading %26quot;TAXI%26quot;.

Thanks Sydney. I%26#39;m also relieved by finding the address on good old Google map and it sounds accurate from my research on the apartment. Good to know that%26#39;s all I have to give to the taxi driver.

Just a bit of extra info. The %26quot;75%26quot; at the start of the postcode indicates Paris, and the %26quot;04%26quot; at the end indicates 4th arrondissment.
