TGV Avignon Station - 10 minute connection - Is it likely?

I%26#39;m arriving into the Avignon TGV station from Aix-En-Provence at 6:00am, and I have 10 minutes to make a connection going to Paris CDG.

Anyone know how large this station is? How likely (or unlikely) it will be to make this connection?

Avignon TGV is a new station, built for the TGV trains. Looking at it with Google Maps, it obviously has only two platforms (one for each direction). Ten minutes should be fine if the first train is on time.

However, check that the Aix-Avignon train is a TGV. If it is not, it will arrive at the other Avignon station which is some distance away.

Exactly as Sydney said. If you are certain you are arriving at the Avignon TGV station (not Avignon Centre Ville) AND your train arrives on time, you should be fine.

I think it all depends on what time your flight departs and whether or not it%26#39;s the long haul home.

If the 6:10 departure to CDG is the last possible one to allow you 3 (or more) hour check in for your flight back to America, I would say travel on an earlier train or the night before.

CDG is the place that creates lines somehow, for reasons known only to the gremlins in the basement. Since your flight isn%26#39;t one of the very early ones, it would be a good idea to give yourself more than 3 hours for check in and security.

As others have said assuming that you are coming from Aix-en-Provence TGV, it is virtually certain that you will make the connection because the train to CDG, which probably runs from Nice to Lille, will be behind the one from Aix. You should have lttle more time than to find out which bit of the platform to move to.
