Flannel shirt and basball hat

That is what my husband will have on when you see us in Paris. What do men wear on their heads? Nothing? I%26#39;ve read past posts but they were a couple years old. Are they wearing ball caps now?

Evetil, when we were in Paris this past summer, I asked my husband to leave his ball cap at home, and not to wear white running shoes. He obliged, and although I didn%26#39;t see many ball caps when there, I don%26#39;t think it would have mattered. Everyone there seems to wear whatever. I think I got my knickers in a knot over %26quot;what not to wear%26quot;, and it was all for naught. As others have said, be comfortable. There are so many tourists in Paris that you will see that regarding attire, anything goes.

We were so concerned about not dressing like tourists, but in the end it didn%26#39;t matter because we were tourists - our cameras and maps would have given us away anyway.

If flannel shirts and ball caps are what your husband is comfortable in, then I say he should go for it. The only caveat being that he should remove the ball cap when in restaurants and churches of course.

Have fun.

Of course you can wear whatever you want, and that you are comfortable in. However my experience has been that if you dress smart and learn a few words of the language, you will be treated better. I%26#39;m a 45 year old man, and usually take a variety of nicer button shirts, and some jean cut khakis, with comfortable but nice leather shoes (brown or black).

Leave the baseball cap at home. Men do not generally wear them in Europe, except when playing golf and other such occasions. They may be an essential fashion item in America, but they just look silly on a grown man in a big city like Paris.

Your husband should wear what he wants. I take my darker clothing to Europe, but it%26#39;s things I like to wear at home as well, like black and gray T%26#39;s and sweaters, black jeans, gray slacks, etc. As I%26#39;m thin on top, I usually wear a ball cap when I%26#39;m out during the day. Nobody cares, and if a judgmental type does care it doesn%26#39;t really matter to me.

My husband is completely shaved bald and wears a ball cap often on sunny days. He is not a fan of the other caps they wear here so he goes for comfort.

Flannel shirt will be on under coat depending on when you travel. No one will probably see it.

He should be prepared to deal with the ring scammers, the bracelet hawks, the beggars, bracelet scammers, and many of the other desirables who haunt the streets of Paris and target tourists.

I am anxious to see what his impression of Paris is when you get back.

That%26#39;s Metromole!

Exactly the ones my hubby refuses to wear! Tres chic but not for him.

That hat is so CUTE!!!! I may have to get him one of those. I%26#39;ll be the one with the white tennis shoes. Maybe I should get a black magic marker and start coloring.
