One Day in Paris

My wife and I are heading to Paris for a day trip on Thursday, Nov. 20th, and would like to see as much as we can. We arrive by Eurostar at 9:17 and plan on taking the metro to Cite. We want to start by seeing Ste Chappelle and Notre Dame, and then grab lunch and an ice cream at Berthillon. Next stop will be the Louvre for about a 3 hour touring and then its off (via walking) to the Jardin des Tuileries, place de la Concord, Champs Elysees, and the Arc de Triomphe. We%26#39;ll catch dinner somewhere along the way. From the Arc, we%26#39;re off to the Eiffel Tower, and then, if time permits, a river cruise before heading back to London late at night. I know it seems like we are rushing, but is this plan doable? And do you have any suggestions for dinner somewhere on the Champs Elysees?

Sure you can. As long as you%26#39;re not planning on going up the ET.

I love Fouquet%26#39;s on the CE. It%26#39;s just a tiny bit pricey, but very good. Great people-watching too.

I think it sounds fine as long as weather is ok, its no fun walking through Tuilleries and up CE if it is pouring rain, in which case I would take a bus or metro up to Arc.

Have fun,, and maybe try and walk a bit off course to find something to eat as most places on CE are overpriced and pretty touristy. Fouquets at least has some history, but as noted by previous poster you will pay a lot for just average food.

You think Fouquet%26#39;s food is just average, Joan? I had choucroute and it was wonderful. Actually, a lot of French-speaking people were enjoying it, which is what made me order it. It was excellent. Different strokes, I guess :)
